There’s something special about summer in the Mankato area. The days get longer, patios fill up, neighbors reconnect, and our community comes alive with local events that bring people together. One event that truly captures the spirit of our community is the annual Songs on the Lawn concert series in downtown Mankato.
Hosted by Greater Mankato Growth, Songs on the Lawn is returning for its 23rd year and promises another fantastic season of live music, local food, and family-friendly fun right in the heart of downtown.
The free concert series takes place every Thursday in June from 11 AM to 1 PM at Civic Center Plaza, creating the perfect midday break for professionals, families, friends, and visitors looking to enjoy everything our community has to offer.

Supporting the Arts Supports Our Community
As someone who deeply values the arts and community connection, I love seeing events like Songs on the Lawn continue to thrive year after year. Local music, public gathering spaces, and community events help make the Mankato area such a wonderful place to call home.
These events create opportunities to support local musicians, restaurants, small businesses, and organizations while strengthening the connections that make our communities feel welcoming and vibrant.
One of the things I love most about serving clients throughout Southern Minnesota is helping people discover not only a home, but also the incredible communities that surround them. Events like Songs on the Lawn are a perfect reminder that home is about more than just a house — it’s about connection, culture, and community.
If you’re looking for a fun way to enjoy downtown Mankato this summer, be sure to add Songs on the Lawn to your calendar.
